Helen Patrikis’ PR career spans decades working with clients in virtually every industry, including culinary, hospitality, luxury travel, lifestyle, and health/wellness brands. From restaurant and hotel openings to new product launches, social media strategies, sponsorships, branding and media training, Helen has done it all. She’s a valued and trusted partner for clients and a respected resource for the media.

A native New Yorker, Helen founded HP-PR in 2014 after leaving a prominent boutique NYC firm. There, she led campaigns for iconic brands such as Relais & Châteaux, Montblanc, Major League Baseball and The Juilliard School, among others. It was her experience working with the many innkeepers and chefs of Relais & Chateaux that fueled her interest in travel and fine dining. 

Beginning with a small project for one client, Helen has steadily grown HP-PR to represent hotels both domestically and internationally, as well as restaurants, chefs, culinary brands, and even a Canadian music festival.

What sets HP-PR apart is her collaborative nature and her ability to listen and understand her clients, finding out what makes them unique and bringing their stories to life through  strategic campaigns. Known for her creativity, integrity and problem-solving, her approach to PR is decidedly different. She doesn’t shout – she whispers, working happily behind the scenes to orchestrate campaigns that shine the spotlight on her clients. 

As the daughter of Greek immigrants Helen embraces multiculturalism and is passionate about how food and travel bring people closer. In addition to cooking and dining out, she is an avid traveler, spending her vacations seeking outdoor adventures, including hiking in Ecuador, conquering Utah’s Mighty Five, and trekking through the Sahara on camelback. 

At home and abroad, she is a runner, yoga and fitness enthusiast, cyclist, kayaker, consumer of pop culture, and amateur photographer. In life and work, she is a seeker of opportunities and solutions and has never retreated from a challenge.

Laina has worked with a wide array of domestic and international clients, including luxury hotels and renown restaurants in Marbella and London, chic Hudson Valley retreats, luxury Caribbean villas, luxurious beachfront resorts in the South of Spain, destination and tourism boards in Canada, Australia and Italy, among many others. More recently, she’s worked with clients in the restaurant and culinary industry.

A specialist in social media strategy, Laina helps clients reach their media goals through planned content creation,  analytical strategy, authentic engagement, and brand building. She is an experienced influencer coordinator, connecting clients with top-tier influencers, delivering relevant content while simultaneously helping brands reach new audiences in social media campaigns across multiple platforms. 

Laina's love for travel and global cuisine developed when she moved to London during college. In addition to discovering England’s many beautiful cities and its countryside, she traveled through Europe, tasting incredible local dishes and learning about new cultures. When she’s not working, she’s usually researching her next travel destination, experimenting with new recipes, or perusing her favorite travel magazines.
